This page explains, in straightforward language, how Studio AI works with artists.
It reflects the same structure and intent as our formal Artist Recording & License Agreement — without legal language.
1. The Composition
Every song in the Studio AI catalog is a musical composition — meaning the lyrics and melody.
Studio AI is the songwriter and publisher of these compositions unless otherwise agreed in writing.
When an artist selects a song from the catalog, they are licensing the composition — not purchasing or taking ownership of the songwriting or publishing.
2. License to Record
Artists are granted a non-exclusive license to record and release their own version of the song.
A one-time license fee of $49 grants permission to record and release the song.
This means:
you are free to record the song in your own style
you may release it commercially or independently
you are not restricted from promoting or performing it
The license is non-exclusive so the song may live in more than one voice.
3. Ownership of the Recording
Your recording is yours.
When you record a Studio AI song:
you own the master recording
you control its release
you choose your distributor or label
your artist identity remains fully your own
Studio AI does not claim ownership of your recording.
4. Artist Revenue
Artists retain 100% of all artist and recording revenue.
This includes:
streaming income
digital downloads
master-use revenue
Studio AI does not participate in artist streaming or recording income.
5. Songwriting & Publishing Royalties
As the songwriter and publisher, Studio AI receives songwriting and publishing royalties when the composition is performed publicly.
This includes:
streaming performance royalties
radio airplay
broadcast and public performance uses
These royalties are collected and paid through standard music royalty channels.
Importantly:
songwriting and publishing royalties do not reduce artist streaming income
the two revenue streams are completely separate
6. Multiple Recordings
Studio AI licenses songs on a non-exclusive basis.
This means:
multiple artists may record the same composition
each recording is treated independently
no artist competes for ownership of the song
Each recording stands on its own, based on the artist’s interpretation.
7. Promotional Use of Recording
With the artist’s permission, Studio AI may:
reference the released recording
link to or embed it on our website
showcase it as an example of how a song from the catalog has been brought to life
This use is:
non-exclusive
non-commercial
always credited to the artist
Studio AI does not sell, license, or monetize artist recordings.
8. Song Title Variations
Artists may choose to release a recording under a different title.
The original songwriting credits remain unchanged to ensure accurate royalty tracking.
Alternate titles are treated as secondary titles of the same composition.
9. No Partnership or Employment
Working with Studio AI does not create a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship.
Artists remain independent and retain full control of their careers and releases.
10. In Summary
Studio AI remains the songwriter and publisher
Artists license songs, not ownership
Artists own their recordings
Artists keep 100% of streaming revenue
Songs may be recorded by multiple artists
Any promotional use is agreed, credited, and non-commercial
Everything is clear, upfront, and confirmed in writing.
If you have questions at any stage, we encourage open conversation.
Transparency comes first.

The final voice is yours.
